About
Dr Andrew Shehovych is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder, as well as general orthopaedic trauma. He treats both adults and children.
Dr Shehovych completed his Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He pursued further academic and surgical training in the UK where he obtained a Master of Science in Surgical Science at University College London (UCL). He returned to Australia and went on to complete orthopaedic training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association surgical training program, which included 18 months at The Tweed Hospital. After years of rigorous training, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He then undertook further subspecialty training in complex upper limb conditions at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
